Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you and how do I get to see any of your Saabs?

We are located in the Buckinghamshire countryside, about 10 minutes from the M4, M40 & M25 intersections. Directions and a map are included in our brochure or we can email these to you on request.

We like to offer the widest possible flexibility in viewing times. We are always usually available from 8.30am to 6.00pm Mondays to Saturday, but, by prior arrangement, can also show you cars in the evenings or on Sundays.

As we run a highly individual, personalised service and like to give you as much time as required when viewing, we prefer to show cars by appointment. Simply call us on 01494 671116 anytime between 8.30am and 9.00pm

From where do you acquire your Saabs?

Specialising in supplying quality Saabs for a very long time now has enabled us to build up a solid trading relationship with a broad band of different suppliers. The prime source is leasing companies, from which one can expect a regular supply of first class Saabs with full histories. We are offered on average about 40 Saabs a week, which allows us to individually select the best.

The vast majority of Saabs are used initially by companies and although there is good and bad in this respect, our expertise in selecting the best, always with full service history ensures that you can buy with complete confidence.

How can I be sure that the mileage is correct and the car is not on finance?

Because of the known source and origin of all our cars combined with their full service histories you can be 100% confident that the mileage is correct and the cars are free of finance. There are in addition, computerised databases to which we have access as do indeed the general public should you wish to double check the integrity of any of our vehicles.

All this is of course in addition to your legal rights when purchasing from a dealer, especially one with a long standing reputation to uphold.

What do you do to a car before releasing it to a customer?

We take the most thorough approach possible. The first step is to appraise the car down to the finest detail. By using extensive check lists and a lengthy road test over a wide variety of conditions we are confident that any existing problems will be discovered. The car then goes to the workshop for rectification of any faults found as well as receiving a comprehensively full service. In addition the workshop carry out their own series of pre-delivery checks and will replace any wear and tear item unlikely to last until the next service.

This ensures that as far as future expense is concerned you are starting with a blank sheet and gives you real value for money within the purchase price. Every car receives a meticulous valet and receives a full set of mats, restoring the appearance inside and out to as new as possible. In addition every car comes with a fresh MOT.

Despite your thorough pre-delivery checks what happens if a problem develops with my Saab?

This is where our after sales service machine really springs into action. Every one is encouraged to give us a call immediately they have a query or experience a problem. We like to stay in touch with all our customers and want to ensure that problems do not develop into major dramas. If a fault has been overlooked on your car or a problem soon develops you are encouraged to bring it straight back for immediate rectification. Should the car need to be left with us, you will of course be provided with a courtesy car.

If any problem should occur in the longer term, then again we wish to hear about it. The warranty provided with the vehicle would hopefully cover anything expensive, but to ensure this works as effectively as possible, again we ask to be notified in order that we can guide you individually through the correct procedures.

Tell me about the Warranty

A 12 month warranty is included with every Saab we sell (if not still under Saab's original warranty). This is for parts and labour with unlimited payout over unlimited mileage. The scope of cover is excellent, including virtually all mechanical and electrical components. For full details please refer to our brochure. It is possible to extend this warranty for up a further 2 or years at very reasonable cost.

How long before I can collect my car?

We would normally expect a car to be ready for collection within 2 to 4 days, although many are available almost immediately. A lot will depend on the stage it has already reached in the preparation process. However, because of the exhaustive procedures carried out as described above, if a car has just come into stock, up to a week may be needed to carry out the full range of detailed attention.

We will never cut corners or compromise the quality of our finished product, but neither will we keep you waiting longer than absolutely necessary, and will do our utmost to accommodate the customer in a hurry.

What are my servicing requirements?

The Saab recommendation is for a full service every 12000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. If the car is still under Saab's initial 3 year warranty this must be carried out at a main dealer. As in most cases our cars are fully serviced before delivery, your next service should not be required for 12,000 miles or one year.

We will fully explain these simple procedures to you on delivery of the car.

Where do you recommend for servicing?

To an extent this will depend on the age of the car and where you live. A large number of our customers continue to use our locally provided services, which offers real value-for-money top quality expertise. There are also several other independent Saab workshops spread across the country and we will be happy to advise on these according to your locality.

If the car is still under Saab's 3 year initial warranty then it is necessary to use a main dealer for servicing. In this area we would recommend Haymill Saab who are thoroughly professional, but would otherwise suggest trying your local main dealer, a list of which will be provided with your car.

What do I do to secure one of your Saabs and what methods of payment are acceptable?

If you wish to purchase one of our Saabs we only ask for a small initial holding deposit to enable us to take the car off sale and allow us to proceed with getting the car ready. The balance of payment would then be due on collection, usually in the form of a Bank draft or Building society cheque payable to Saaben.
